About the Role:
Join Overtime Athletics DMV as a Youth Basketball Instructor and inspire the next generation of athletes! In this dynamic role, you'll engage young players in skill development and foster a love for the game in a fun and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead basketball training sessions for youth of varying skill levels.
- Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and game strategies.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate drills and activities.
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude.
- Assist in organizing and overseeing basketball camps and events.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding player development.
- Maintain a safe and engaging training environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience coaching or instructing youth basketball.
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Passion for sports and youth development.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in sports management or related field preferred.

Compensation: $25.00 per hour
