About the Role:
Join Overtime Athletics DMV as a Youth Sports Instructor, where you'll inspire and develop young athletes in a fun and engaging environment. This role is perfect for those passionate about youth sports and dedicated to fostering teamwork, skill development, and a love for physical activity.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate sports programs for children ages 5-12.
- Teach basic entry level fundamental sports skills while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions that keep kids motivated.
- Monitor and assess participant progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating sports events and competitions.
- Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe and ready for use.
Requirements:
- Experience in coaching or instructing youth sports is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about youth development.
- Availability to work afternoons (between 2-5pm) weekdays and weekends as needed.
- Background in physical education, sports management, or related field is advantageous.
- Reliable transportation to various training school locations in Fairfax, VA. (public transportation is not accepted)

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
